London’s mayor Sadiq Khan has jumped on the ever rolling London Stadium bandwagon and appears ready to make as much political capital as possible over the “escalating costs.”
He is calling for an investigation but at the same the Tax Payers Alliance reckons it’s wrong to blame West Ham for the issues at Stratford.

O For goodness sake… I heard Radio 5 Live describe the London Stadium as ‘West Ham’s Stadium’. It is NOT our stadium. Any issue with the conversion costs, running costs, transformation (from football to athletics) costs… take them up with the owners and landlord NOT the tenants!!!
O Khan’s investigation is into increased conversion costs, I think I’m right in saying. There’s been no suggestion that the investigation is into the club but into the operators and owners.
O Has any decision ever been unpicked with the benefit of so much hindsight??? this over-spend was well publicised at the time, and approved, and spent. end of.O Given the media have all the answers, perhaps the club should ask them this question “at what point should we have stopped looking the gift horse in the mouth, withdrawn, and left the stadium to rot?”
O I read yesterday that in his new booklet, which is 72 pages long, the mayor has over 33 pictures of himself which just shows what a publicity seeking hound he really is and this is just another opportunity to promote himself
O Maybe he should be having a go at Lord Sebastian Coe who refused any football input when the plans for building were being drawn up!
O Mayor Sadiq ” Oh I do love my picture being taken ” Khan does like to get involved in things that have absolutly nothing all to do with him, especially when there are so many other things that can be deflected away from while he drones on about this.
