Announce Jordan Hugill

|

HugillWest Ham insiders say that the club has completed the signing of Preston North End’s top goal scorer Jordan Hugill.

The 25-year-old striker has cost West Ham around £9m. A late bloomer, he started his career in non-league with sides like Seaham Red Star, Consett and Whitby Town and also had a spell at the Glenn Hoddle Academy before moving to Port Vale who still retain a 20% sell on fee.

Hugill has scored 10 goals in 29 games for Preston so far this term. The Hammers are expected to announce the signing on the official website soon.

No offence to this bloke but we have become a laughing stock. An absolute joke.

  • Hammerkip says:

Good luck to him but Jesus that’s Gona be it and then the excuses will come as usual…we tried our best working round the clock but we didn’t have enough Time. 😂 and David is happens with the squad …pathetic. ..what is the point ..dont go to bed lol

Hang on a mo – This guy might just turn out to be decent! Half the price of Ayew, a fraction of the wages and can’t be anywhere near as disappointing!
Just a crying shame we haven’t got a defensive midfielder in as looks like the Lille guy is going to Palace or going nowhere. Don’t know why we lost interest in him and Dendonker so easily.

    • Mary Millingtons Ghost says:

Was there actually any real interest Jimbo, or just more lies and spin?
Yet another failed transfer, and yet another late medical.
      Coincidence, I don’t think so.
Still, they’ve got 35 minutes to prove me wrong.

So Sakho gone 8 mill, Ayew 18 mill ,this guy costing 8 mill, and Mario’s loan 4 mill, so what is Mr Sullivan going to do with the spare 14 mill ? Buy another silly hat??????

Cheer up Guys.Samir Nasri is a free agent now.

Is no-one aware at the club aware that the only fit holding central midfield players we have are Kouyate and Noble (and Rice at a push). God help us if any of them get injured (or worse 2 at the same time). Looking forward to the usual Sullivan lies (tried to sign so and so, but too late, blah, blah, blah, lie, lie, lie) I wouldn’t mind, but they loan the club money to buy players. When they sell up, they’ll expect those loans back (with interest).

  • Johnnyep says:

Sky sports have just announced that Hugill will be it. If West Ham go down, Gold and Sullivan only have themselves to blame

  • Hammerkip says:

Basically we were supposed to strengthen the squad but with the business we have done we have made ouself weaker ..on top of that we let 7 go on loan .. If anyone says otherwise there kidding themselves… What would happen if we lost kouyate Nobel or Mario for 5\6 weeks or say 2 of them in the next couple weeks ??? And with our injuries its a distinct possibility …

Also reports that Smolov close to joining Palace. It was announced on here earlier today that he wanted his agent to end talks with WHU because our offer was way too low. Seems to be the same story with this other guy who has chosen Palace over us- Amadou. Moyes is right to say that you need the right players in & the owners will say that you can’t just throw money at players. But the simple fact is that clubs that don’t spend do not stay in the PL. You do have to choose carefully etc etc & spending does not guarantee success. But not spending guarantees failure. Sad but true.
Oh yes & we are down to twelfth again tonight.

I have to agree with the above comment are Sullivan & Gold they do not seem to understand you have to pay the correct monthly net for a quality playerSullivan has a barrow boy mentality he just will not pay the asking price Also Moyes has some questions to answer why was he not telling the directors exactly who he wanted to buy last December after all he knew the team needed new blood you would have thought he would have been champing at the bit to Buy some decent players but all the reports we were getting was that he wanted To buy uk based players with prem experience well everyone & their dog could have told him A they’d would be expensive & B Sullivan would not cough up the cash so they had tolook abroad for players, even then When the right players were identified Sullivan put in ridiculously low bids at the last minute, this seems to be his style so he can say he tried, unfortunately this excuse has now become lame & the supporters will not wear it anymore I.now wait to see if the promised season ticket boycot will now become a reality only then will the board take notice

    • Mary Millingtons Ghost says:

Trouble with that Claret is that with the 50,000 waiting list (almost certainly another BS figure to scare the existing punters into renewing, a bit like the 95% stadium approval rating quoted by Sully) the existing supporters will just be replaced by more plastics.
And that is, in my belief, exactly what the shysters want.
