Another Iron injured

Oxford-604905Reece Oxford has been ruled outof action for a month after a training ground injury.

Defender Oxford injured his ankle ligaments in training last Saturday and has now been left on crutches.

Reece 17, is one of our most promising youngsters and this setback is obviously a blow to his first team hopes.

He has  has already captained England’s under-18s and is still engaged in contract talks with the club as the two Manchester outfits reportedly watch his position.

However, we were told this morning the player is holding out on signing a deal although the club are confident they can settle his position.

A source said: “His side don’t see any reason to rush into things but it’s obviously one we would like to get settled as soon as possible.”
