Hammer Josh Cullen has signed a loan extension with Charlton Athletic to allow him to finish the 2019/2020 Championship season.
The 24-year-old midfielder signed went on a second season-long loan to Charlton playing for Lee Bowyer.
He has made 25 appearances this season for Charlton after 29 appearances for the Addicks last season.
The Essex-born central midfielder won the Dylan Tombides Award winner in 2014 and was named the Republic of Ireland U21 captain as well as enjoying loan spells with Bradford City and Bolton Wanderers before his two-season loan to Charlton,
He was called-up by Ireland at senior level for the first time after impressing Mick McCarthy while playing for the Addicks in March 2019, before inspiring the south London side to promotion two months later.
Time is running out for the Hammer whose contract was due to expire this summer before the club triggered a one year option taking the player’s deal until the end of June 2021.
