Another injury blow for West Ham

It appears West Ham’s injury curse has struck their backroom team too after a photo of Julian Dicks was posted by his daughter.

The 48-year-old is seen resting on the floor with an inflatable cast around his knee.

A club insider said the first team coach had a nasty slip in the shower after training yesterday at Rush Green training ground when he badly jarred his knee. He was unable to attend the Players’ Awards dinner last night as he was in so much pain and is unlikely to resume coaching for the remainder of the season.

The insider told Claret and Hugh that everyone at the club wished him well and for a speedy recovery.

His boss Slaven Bilic will soon go under the knife soon for a second hip operation two days after the end of the season. He is expected to be on crutches for five weeks over the summer.

  1. Get well soon Dicksie !!
By the way Sean, Do you know the name of the town or resort where the Irons will be training in Austria and any dates?? would appreciate a heads up.. Thanx COYI

  2. How are the strikers gonna practice shooting now?!! 😂😂

  3. Even the back room staff! Brilliant!

I see we are back on top…..of the physio room league table. Two questions. 1. Are we actually bad at keeping our players fit? 2. If we are bad at it why is this?

My impression is that we have worse injury problems – possible exception Arsenal but my theory is they are lightweights but it just gets in the news because they are a ‘big club’ & it gives people another thing to bash Wenger for.

  4. I thought Dicksie had probably done it trying to teach Callieri how to do a rabona!

  5. This is more serious than it appears – who’s going to hand out the bibs and set out the cones now… and what about handing out the oranges a half-time – catastrophe!
