Another Medical Today | Hammers into Overdrive

The transfer window isn’t finished yet for West Ham United! The Club has a medical booked today, Sunday, for the next recruit to the Claret and Blue, Aaron Wan-Bassaka who is believed to be ready now to sign his five year contract as a Hammer, all issues having been resolved – some would say surprisingly since we are dealing with Manchester United who have not proved the easiest in the past.

Aaron Wan Bissaka will be next to sign- hopefully today!

The loyalty payment, personal terms and a fee with the Red Devils all having been sorted according to multiple sources today.

The 26 year old English defender will add a layer of steel to the Hammers’ defensive line, Bissaka being well known for his speed and tackling ability.

This will go down as another big Tim Steidten ‘win’, as our Director of Football has been stalking Wan Bissaka in this transfer window and has shown considerable guile and patience whenever the defenders’ club or personal terms were said to be a stumbling block.

We cannot wait to see Wan-Bissaka wearing the claret and blue. Some of the new recruit medicals have been spread over two days so, don’t be overly concerned if he is not announced until tomorrow Monday.

The mobility he brings, plus the strength in depth which our West Ham squad is developing means the start of the 24/5 season cannot come soon enough.

Like everyone else, lifelong WHU fan and season ticket holder in old BMU stand at Upton Park from 2003. Billy Bonds these days with my adult son and impatiently waiting for my Grandson to be old enough to initiate him before his mum grabs him for Man U. All opinions are my own very biased ones.

What a lineup we could have next week against Villa if this completes today.

    Areola
    Wan-Bissaka, Todibo, Kilman, Emmerson
    Rodriguez, Paqueta
    Bowen (C), Kudas, Summerville
    Füllkrug

That is quite a mouth watering line up compared to JWP and Soucek in the middle! and when the team finally gels i think we are in for a very good season and hopefully a cup win.

Gonna be an excellent squad but we have to be realistic about league places. You still have city, liverpool and arsenal who will improve their squads and will more than likely take top 3 places. I’d put us in with manure, the spuds, chelsea, the toon and villa to fight for the remaining european spots. Hopefully we’ll have a decent cup run as well

I’m trying to temper my expectations at the moment, but I’d be very pleased with another season where we qualify for a European competition. Many of these signings should prove to be long term, so I wouldn’t expect to see big outlays like this in the next couple of transfer windows.

The two signings that I’m happy with, but not thrilled about are Füllkrug as I would have liked someone younger, and Todibo as I can’t see anything about this loan to buy option anywhere. Having said that, I’m still stoked that we got Todibo and are even in with a chance of signing him next year for £34m.

Super excited for the first game of the season now. And I’ll be placing a kit order in the coming weeks!

Super news if AWB signs. He can provide back-up and competition for Vlad Coufal. Coufal remains world class and it would be no surprise to see him retain first choice spot at right back.
Michail Antonio is far from finished, too.
Loving it so far and looking forward to some tremendous winning games this year. Without the European distraction and drain, we should have our dream season in PL and should also do well in Cups given kinder draws.
Deep breaths – hold on tight – here we go.

Coufal world class??🤣🤣🤣 I hope we have a great season and there’s no reason we shouldn’t but really!!

I would be more than happy to get europa le, ague in what will be a transitional season for us any thing more would be nice bonus

AWB will go straight in to the starting 11 without a doubt he is class 😁⚒️

  • Andy Stone says:

Whether AWB is a starter or not next weekend matters little. We have a coach capable of utilising a full squad and making the best of having up to five substitutes. Plenty of game time for everyone. It is so exciting to look at the fixture list and not fear any particular month. International breaks always annoy me and I suspect I’ll be even more annoyed with them this season.

Let’s hope the new lads hit the ground running but I reckon it will take a while for all the new faces to settle in. I won’t be to disappointed with some poor games at the start but with the talent brought in we should be a very strong side by Xmas. For all their (many) faults fair play to the board for backing J Lo. Credit where it’s due.

Dragging on a bit this one now …I’m.the biggest moaner going…but very hsppy with recruitment at min ..but i think the awb deal is important..i.think he will be a good signing and make a big difference…get it done before something crops up as usual…..now j lo just has to get them playing
The new system well….this is exactly why you need transfer buisness to be done early…so the players have time to train together before the season starts…..got the players now ….just need to get them going ⚒️⚒️
