Another teenager eyeing Euro minutes

Oliver Scarles could make his West Ham debut in the Europa Conference League.

A new report from Football.London has explained exactly who the teenager is after he was included in the squad for the trip to Belgium to play against Anderlecht on Thursday.

Regan Clayton, a 17-year-old left-back, has also been training with the first-team ahead of the game and 16-year-old Scarles is another youngster hoping to make his first-team breakthrough.

Scarles is an England Under-17 international with four caps and he is also a left-back, although he is capable of playing in midfield and on the left wing.

The 16-year-old is clearly highly thought of, too, because he has already played for the Under-21s, making three appearances, and he has made 28 appearances for the Under-18s. Those games have led to him actually providing 10 assists, while also scoring one goal.

It remains to be seen if he is trusted to play against Anderlecht but it’s always good to see young players in the squad.
