Antonio comeback match set

Michail Antonio’s is set to make his return to action for the Spurs match immediately after the international break.

Sourced inside the club claim that barring any setbacks the midfielder/front man will be back in the squad for the match at the London Stadium on November 23.

And that will mean the player will have been out of action for less than three months when the best forecasts for a comeback were four months when he broke down with a hamstring at Newsport County in the Carabao Cup in August.

Manuel Pellegrini had revealed Antonio would be back after the break in his presser ahead of the Newcastle game but didn’t give a precise date.

However, ClaretandHugh – having been told that he was ready to return to fist team training – learned today that he is now expected to be involved in the squad for the Spurs visit.

A well placed told us by e mail: “Antonio can play as a sub so long as there are no setbacks and that will help us.”
