Antonio has had the life flogged out of him

Michael Antonio has received little sympathy for his injury problems or lack of form over the last few months but one Claret and Hugh reader Bill Ryan has spoken up on his behalf.  Whether many are prepared to admit it or not, his latest knee ligament is a big blow although many believe it may give Divin Mubama his chance at long last. If so, good but in the meantime Mikey Claret and Hugh reader Bill Ryan  perhaps makes a more than reasonable point saying he believes Antonio has had the life flogged out of him in the absence of any striker signings which have been made to work by manager David Moyes.

Writing in the C and H Facebook page he says:  “This goes back to Antonio’s purple patch three  seasons ago when Moyes basically flogged him to exhaustion.

And if were all honest he has  never reached those heights since and Moyes still continually flogs the life out of him. And now he’s going to do it to Jarrod Bowen rather than have found a way to utilise Seb Haller or Gianluca Scammaca. He is supposed to be a tactician yet somebody like Brentford boss Tomas Frank whose Bees are not top six make him look a poor coach.”
