Antonio looks for same again

Michail Antonio will be looking for as surge of form after a  Hammers goal drought when he hits Leicester on Sunday.

He was nowhere near the form we have come to expect in the game against Watford where once again Jarrod Bowen was the most dangerous forward on show.

Mikey has now scored just one goal in the past eight appearances – in stark contract to the nine in 22 previously and has now seen himself caught by Jarrod in the goal scoring stakes.

Certainly the first 45 minutes when we were below our best gave him little chance but it was noticeable that he is now being heavily marked at times and that at times his first touch tends to let him down – work required in that area.

His trips top Jamaica may not have helped notably as he heads towards his 32nd birthday but there is no more determined and loyal player in the league and he’ll be looking to emulate his appearance against the Foxes in the first game when gave gave the Brendan Rodgers team nightmares and scored twice.

This is no time to lose faith in the player but yes, we all know a back-up was badly required in the window!

We are wishing the No 9 our very best!

Come on you Mikey
