Antonio makes an impact

|

Michail Antonio and his Jamaica team have taken a step nearer qualification from the CONCACAF Gold Cup group stage after completing a comfortable 4-1 victory over Trinidad and Tobago in St Louis.

Antonio provided Damarai Gray’s assist for a goal which made it 3-0 for the Reggae Boys when  squaring for the Everton forward. Gray had opened the scoring with Aston Villa’s Leon Bailey adding the  second.

Trinidad and Tobago’s Andre Rampersad pulled one back before Dujuan Richards’ injury time goal completed the scoring

The 4-1 success leaves Jamaica with four points from two games, level with group leaders USA and needing just a point from their final group game to secure their quarter-final slot.

The Reggae Boyz take on Saint Kitts and Nevis in that third Group A fixture in Santa Clara, California on Sunday as Mikey looks to add another medale to the one he picked up from the Conerence Final success.
