Antonio swallows his disappointment

antonio

We’re all moaning of course – the man didn’t get on and that is a huge disappointment for all Irons.

Given some of the ineffective forward play before a late scrappy winner it would have been reasonable to expect Michail Antonio to have got the usual mid second half call but no, we were all left disappointed.

Everybody that is except the man himself who has shown himself capable of swallowing that and when given the chance turning it into a triumph.

And he was very quick off the mark following the winner to show once again that he’s all about the team and not himself.

It didn’t take him long to take to Twitter where he declared: “Disappointed not to get on, but great to come away with the 3 points! .

That’s exactly the sort of response we would all expect of the bloke of course.

Top man Michail —COYI

  1. Absolute gem ! And not injured ? 🙂

  2. Devonshire reckoned that putting Antonio on for the 1st game would never have been an option. Henderson was a waste of space….and England generally v lack-lustre.
Could have done with that Antonio spark…
Top attitude from a top player!

  3. Well done Michail, we hope you get your chance soon ! Noticeable that anyone who played for any of the smaller teams I.e Leicester and us didn’t get on. Same old England, same old faces, same old performances, not exactly a new dawn.

  4. Same old same old …. Walcott ?? Kane ( fat overrated primadona,) Henderson Walker ???????????????????????? Crying out for man in form who can take people on where it matters and cross the ball .. Walker just wastes every ball as he lacks skill . The Hippo is as clueless as his predecessor.

  5. Hopefully he was just given existing players one chance to do the business, and will now give others a chance.
Henderson is a waste of space, and even sterling is well overrated.
I don’t know why I’m moaning; I have very little interest in the England team, but I expect Antonio to get his chance next time.

  6. Would have been nice to see him come on for last 20 to frighten them. They would have looked in horror as he strolled onto the pitch, and seen his big number 30 on his back, and said surely this is the number of the BEAST… waaaaaaaaaaa! Then they would have sh*t themselves. lol

  7. Rooney plays where he likes ? What a fukin waste of space the fat turd is !
Meet the old turd same as the old turd and definatly won’t fool anybody , fukin clueless and the question and looks on the pundits faces and looks say it all for me ? He’s already being questioned and doubts have been aired on the Rooney debacle ?
He needs to be put down , asap , and the spuds flops need dumping to, rose ,walker , Kane ,
In particular , with Henderson Walcott and sterling close behind !
Add to that lot Cahill , the suicide bomber , sturridge, and the Everton Muppet who in a million years will never be an international player ,
This project has doom printed all over it.
    😉
