Antonio unwisely opens his mouth again

I don’t need to repeat that I have always liked Mikey Antonio – every regular reader knows that but I wish the bloke would learn to keep his gob shut for a while.

Since  he started appearing on the Footballers Football podcast show he’s having far too much to say for himself.

Who can forget the outburst about the Hammers beating Liverpool a few weeks back adding that we could well finish ahead of them in the Premier League this season.

Having taken plenty of stick from his  mate Callum Wilson on the show he has now apparently turned scout for the Scousers who continue to show an interest in Jarrod Bowen.

It really is a topic on which no Hammers should be drawn to speculate – that is unless your name is Michail Antonio who decided it would be a good idea to discuss it on that show of his and what he had to say wasn’t great from our point of view.

Discussing the No 20and Liverpool’s alleged interest he said: “He is a bagsman. Everything he is touching is turning to gold right now. But hey, it’s going to cost a lot of dough, the man has just signed a seven-year deal.

The money you get from (Mohamed) Salah, you are going to have to give it to us! He’s quality, left-footed and plays on the right-hand side like Mo Salah, so he is the perfect replacement, but hey, it’s not going to be easy to get him out of here.

It won’t be easy because that’s a seven-year contract man has just signed.”
