Hopefully Mikey Antonio will be able to take his place up front in this evening’s clash against Liverpool at the London Stadium.
The striker took a couple of heavy knocks against Bournemouth at the weekend and the club is remaining tight lipped over any problems.
Lucas Paqueta is another who suffered a knock or two and it would be desperate of the pair were to be missing for a vital game with confidence on a high.
It may be a sign of his fitness that the club have chosen to use the No 9 in their final word article which appears on the official website right now,
And is that’s the case there can be few doubts that the 32 year old front man is in great heart ahead of the game against Jurgen Klopp’s outfit who have only won five times on their travels this season.
Speaking to www.whufc.com Mikey said: “It has not been the best season for us, but we are finding form and turning it on at the best time. But we have got to push on now and keep the momentum going.
That’s because the next month could be unbelievable. We’re in the semi-final of the UEFA Conference League and I think another win secures our place in the Premier League.
But we need to keep building on that momentum now against both Liverpool and Crystal Palace this week. We want to keep going, keep building momentum, and use a good run in the Premier League to reach a final too.”
