Well done Thilo Kehrer!
Football is designed to make fools of us and it certainly did me when I had a pre-match moan up about his appearing at right back rather than Vladi Coufal.
Thus far this season he has not been the best for him and I was astonished to see his name on the team sheet before the game as he has been widely criticised since his arrival.
But today he really came good and looked a real player with his free kick for the match winning goal quite superb.
Apart from one situation occasion when he was caught out as he tried to stop an attack being launched down his side with the wrong foot which led to a cross which no Saint could meet, he did very little wrong,
He always looked threatening getting forward and beyond that isolated incident he looked very much on the case.
Apologies Kehrer…this was your best game for us so far.
He has been poor previously and did play well today which was great to see. I think you have been fair and told it how it is 👍
Well done Hugh…
I was also brought up to hold my hands up when wrong. Most managers (whether we agree with them or not) will only select players based on what they see on the training pitch. Thilo Kehrer is known to have a strong personality and for a game of this magnitude, this was what the team needed all over the pitch.
I can breathe again…..for now.
