It was always going to be an interesting summer at West Ham United’s London Stadium, as fans of all colours wondered just what would be first to change following the departure of former manager David Moyes, and the arrival of Julen Lopetegui.

It was known that director of football Tim Steidten had been keeping a close eye on the Brazilian market for potential new first team options for our new gaffer, and with reports that he had travelled out, we have now seen confirmation that a medical is now set for Palmeiras’ 18 year old midfielder Luis Guilherme, who could become Lopetegui’s (and Steidten’s since he took charge of transfer dealings) first capture to the tune of £25.5 million and it is likely that a Quinnbet Coupon Code would be all over the possibility of this deal coming off.

Given his age and having made his debut in 2023 as a 17 year old, his game time is obviously not great and in the 2024/25 Brazilian Serie A campaign (including the Copa Libertadores) he has added ten appearances to his career tally, however, the potential transfer fee more than demonstrates just how highly rated this lad is, but it remains obviously a big gamble and would have to be considered, very much one for the future.

If these reports are accurate though, our gamble could very well be a solid educated guess as given the presumed potential that the 18 year old has, many in the wider world football would consider his signing quite a coup, as his suitors are known to include some of the top Premier League and domestic European clubs, and if he keeps on the right track and continues to develop as he has done so far, the fee suggested would be totally dwarfed by the valuation that he would reach in the next two to three years.

His current club are introducing the predominantly right sided player slowly so he learns, so whilst game time is understandably poor, with their league season beginning in April, he has been on the bench for six of seven games so far, being introduced in four of them – and he recently opened his goalscoring account.

He is rated by their international set up as well, and with four caps to his name for Brazil at Under 17 level (two goals returned), he has since been promoted through to the Under 20 squad to bring him on further.

Palmeiras have a pretty good youth production line though and they know what they are doing, and one name familiar to everyone in the English top flight will be Gabriel Jesus who was making his name with them, before a certain Manchester City came calling in 2017.
