Pablo Armero admits it was “a dream come true” to score for Colombia in the World Cup.

The full-back, on loan with the Irons last season, opened the scoring in the nation’s 3-0 victory over Greece.

“It was like a blessing. I thank God and my family, obviously as well as my teammates,” Armero told Sky Sport Italia.

“It is so emotional for me, as having scored in a World Cup is like a dream come true.

“We want to do well in this competition and go far with Colombia.”

The only Hammer at the World Cup scores a goal! Armero for Colombia and we have cancelled his loan and sent him back?
Armero at the WC has shown Allardyce’s failings as a manager, he is a flying wingback & WHU never sent him over the halfway line under Allardyce! #madness
