Arnautovic/Antonio/Reid updates

Arnautovic 1Marko Arnautovic looks certain to return for the game at Huddersfield this weekend.

The club’s record signing has been missing suffering a hamstring problem but after two scans showed no serious issues he looks highly likely to have recovered sufficiently to start.

The club’s medics have put the problem down to a tight hammie but sources inside the club claim that he is okay and training in readiness for the match.

Michail Antonio is also back with the first team squad and hopes are high that he too will be in the squad which travels to Yorkshire.

However, Winston Reid – like Arnautovic – has also suffered a tightening of his hamstring and is likely to need a week minimum to recover.

Sam Byram is also back on the training pitch and should he not be available for Huddersfield – which hasn’t been ruled out – he will almost certainly be back for the game against Bournemouth on the 20th of the month.

  1. I notice that or replay is on the Tuesday 16th. Bouremouth’s is on Wednesday 17th. And they have to travel to Wigan. Then we play them on Saturday 20th. This should help us unless Golden Boy Howe gives up on the Cup & fields his reserves. Otherwise my master plan is that they are knackered & we get justice for the refereeing travesty on Boxing Day. Of course we could still make a pig’s ear of the home game with Shrewsbury & end up going to ET & penalties. But of course by then we will have signed Messi & Neymar & Falcao – maybe Aguero so no problem lol.

  2. As long as they don’t move the goalposts 64 😂 25 mill should be enough lol !
No mention of Carroll ? I heard he chipped his nail polish on his big toe and couldn’t travel to Shrewsbury! I do hope he’s recovered in time for the replay ! 😂
