Arnie and Obiang’s weekend fitness hopes rise

|

Marko Arnautovic and Pedro Obiang are recovering well from knocks they took during the match against Burnley and are expected to be fit for the game at Huddersfield at the weekend.

The striker and midfielder have missed a couple of training sessions this week so far but are expected to be back for the trip north.

A well informed source close to the squad had told  CandH  of the problem during a telephone conversation last night but updating us said: “It will be a surprise now should they miss the game.

Both players have had their share of injuries over the season  with Arnie playing through the pain barrier because of a knee problem  and Obiang only returning to Premier League action on Saturday.

It’s important that Obiang makes it with the squad stretched in midfield where Mark Noble will be sitting out the game as he serves out the final game of his three match suspension following his red card against Leicester City.
