Arnie injury worry

Marko Arnautovic and Pedro Obiang are both hoping to be fit for the weekend match against Huddersfield after taking knocks during the battling 4-2 win over against Burnley.

Several players sustained the normal bumps and bruises but ClaretandHugh understands that the striker and midfielder will miss a couple of days training this week having been told to rest.

The nature of the ‘injuries’ as such aren’t entirely clear but a well informed source close to the squad told CandH  of the problem during a telephone conversation.

He said: “They are better than even money to make it for the weekend but they will miss a couple of days training this week and no decision will be made until the day of the match.”

Both players have struggled with injuries over recent games and Obiang only returned to Premier League action on Saturday.

Arnie is known to have been playing through the pain barrier with a knee problem but it is not clear whether the latest problem is related to that.

Mark Noble will also be missing as he serves out the final game of his three match suspension.
