Marko Arnautovic is still well odds-on to leave the Irons according to the bookies.
Skybet reckons he’s 8/11 on to join any Chinese Super League club before September 3 following, presumably, his activities last summer.
Despite having a new one year deal in his pocket and manager Manuel Pellegrini claiming he has a big role to play this season the firm seems unimpressed and also have him priced at 16/1 to join Roma and even Juventus at a monster 20/1.
As reported last night Maxi Gomez – who is reportedly not ready to join the Hammers as back up to the Austian – is 6/5 favourite to finally arrive.
But the odds against Declan Rice leaving the club are now drifting with Manchester United at 11/4 to clinch a very unlikely switch. At one stage he was close to even money for a move.
Salomon Rondon is a big outsider to join us from Newcastle at 16/1 although Alexsander Mitrovic is as short as 6/4 to become the second Hammers signing after Gomez.
The club shouldn’t even be looking at Rondon. Just look at his underwhelming record for West Brom. His record of converting chances to goals is poor and he does not have the physical presence of Carroll.
Rondon – goals last season 12, season before 10 playing for two pretty negative teams. Arnautovic last season scored 11 and the season before 11. Rondon is 29, Arnautovic is 30. Rondon is a striker and a great hold up man. Arnautovic isn’t.
Not quite sure why some people see Arnautovic as a demigod and Rondon as totally useless. They are comparable but one is a bit of a *****
LOL
Arnautovic needs releasing, he has the ability to divide the dressing room. It is also plain to see that whenever he doesn’t get everything his own way he sulks like a baby… get rid.
Why does Arnautovic need releasing just because Hugh posted bookies odds for a little pot-stirring? Unless the bookies know something…hence 8/11…
By previous accounts, he’s been touted as a good presence in the dressing room.
