‘Arnie’ warms up for Saints in style

Marko Arnautovic is on fire as the highly critical match against Southampton approaches this weekend.

The club’s record signing grabbed his third goal of the international break in Austria’s 4-0 friendly international win over Luxembourg.

Arnie had netted twice in Austria’s win over Slovenia on Friday and was again on target  within four minutes at the Stade Josy Barthel in Luxembourg City on Tuesday evening.

The 28-year-old played for 68 minutes before being replaced.

That goal took his tally to 19 goals in 69 appearances for his country and he has now scored ten in his last 15 games for club and country.

Josh Cullen and Declan Rice both enjoyed a successful night completing 90 minutes the full 90 minutes as their Republic of Ireland U21 scored a late winner to see off Azerbaijan in a UEFA European Championship qualifier at Tallaght Stadium in Dublin.
