Arsenal deal bitter top four blow

Arsenal have dealt West Ham a bitter blow in their bid to qualify for the top four by beating Wolves 2-1 in the final minute on Thursday evening.

The rearranged fixture finally took place in midweek and the Gunners came from behind to win.

Wolves did take the lead through Hwang Hee-Chan in the 10th minute.

It took until the 82nd minute for Arsenal to equalise, as Nicolas Pepe found the net, but the Gunners managed to win the game in the very final minute of injury time.

Alexandre Lacazette got free down the right flank and shot at goal; it appeared to be going wide but goalkeeper Jose Sa inadvertently deflected it into his own goal.

It means the Gunners are now fifth in the Premier League table and three points ahead of the Irons with two games in hand.

Wolves take on the Hammers this weekend and the Midlands club could leapfrog the Irons with a win, moving West Ham down to seventh.

It is a horrible result for the Irons this evening.
