Arsenal will want Jenkinson back

jenkinson1Carl Jenkinson’s performances should be enjoyed by Hammers fans whilst we have the right back.

For ClaretandHugh has discovered that the on-loan Gunner is set to return to Arsenal at the end of his year’s spell with us.

Many loan deals contain a “to buy” option but Jenks’ has no such clause as Arsene Wenger rates the player highly.

Hammers boardroom connections with sources close to the player were solely responsible for the deal getting done but Arsenal made it clear they had no intention of attaching a “to buy” deal.

Wenger and the player’s agent finally decided to let the player come to Upton Park as they wanted him to get regular Premier League football.

Since then of course Arsenal’s new arrival Mathieu Debuchy  has undergone surgery on an ankle injury which has frustrated the Gunners boss given he has no recall clause on Jenks.

A source told ClaretandHugh: ” There’s no to buy clause. Arsenal rate the player very highly and have no reason to attach a to buy option. Our board – via their connections – made the deal happen,”

  1. How about a swap deal for Reid? It’s becoming more and more apparent through the media that Reid does not want to sign and has seen his future elsewhere. Maybe these so called board with their connections could sort this?
Now jenkinson is loving it a West Ham and a future star of England with bags of talent that along with cresswell at left back would be great to have for the future years.
Reid can be replaced easily, so if arsenal want him let him go and we’re have jenkinson! Ask Dg and Ds!

  2. Reid is still under contract and still worth money to us ( only just ). With arsenal desperate for a central defender a deal could be struck in January which suits both clubs. Personally I don’t know the ins and outs of the Reid situation but if a player doesn’t want to be at club get rid, although no one can fault his commitment so far.
Can arsenal wait long enough until the summer and the end of the season for a player they need right now, just to get him free? I personally think they would swap now to get there man for the rest of the season!
