Arsenal’s Tag-team Move to Force Budget Kudus Sale

West Ham are possibly being strong-armed into a cut-price sale of Mohammed Kudus to Arsenal, according to breaking reports.

TBR Football claim the Hammers winger has informed the club’s hierarchy that he’s unwilling to move to Saudi Arabia while Premier League offers remain on the table.

The report suggests Saudi clubs were willing to pay around £70 million for Kudus, but those proposals have been rejected. Meanwhile, Arsenal have reportedly tabled a far lower £50 million offer.

It appears the Gunners may be taking a “take it or leave it” stance — knowing that Kudus is piling on the pressure from his side.

As Claret & Hugh reported earlier today, Saudi interest in the Ghanaian attacker remains strong despite some claims to the contrary. Saudi Pro League club Al-Nassr retain a strong interest in the player and the Irons were hopeful of a bidding war.

It’s too early to say whether this is a tag-team transfer tactic from Arsenal and Kudus to engineer a lower transfer fee. But if true, it’ll require a strong poker face and firm resolve from West Ham to resist — especially given the club’s pressing need for transfer funds.

Hammers Chat my first game was West Ham 10-0 Bury . . . seriously!
We than went and bought Bury's central defender 😬⚒️ Irons

Started Hammers Chat alongside my partner in crime Geo back in 2014 and brough in to Claret & Hugh by my old mate Hughie to produce videos a couple of years later.

Give West Ham opinions on Sky Sports News and even did a bit of moonlighting on BBC Football Focus.

Sometimes feature on BBC Radio 5 Live and once ate a biscuit in Tony Gales shed.

When I'm not moaning about West Ham I can be found walking a dog that looks like a sheep and tinkering with pinball machines.

I’m pretty sure Kudus signed a contract and the clause says £85m.

Time for West Ham to hold firm. The message to Arsenal is quite simplr…..”Pay up or shut up”.

If they don’t want to pay, they don’t get the player. Simple. Kudus can stay another season and fulfil his contract if necessary.

  • Joe says:

Literally tell arsenal 85 million or do one.. lean more towards do one, don’t sell our best player (when hes on form) to them lot again

  • pat says:

Kudus Agent insisted that a buyout clause be put in his contract before he would sign for us and they said it should be £85million…..so make it clear to the agent and the player that someone comes up with that or he is staying sulking or otherwise.

  • David Clerihew says:

Clearly another example of Arsenal having already “tapped him up” just like with Rice & probably told him to push down the price by refusing other moves.

  • Ammers 66 says:

Tell Arsenal and their ego maniac Manager where to go. Why should we give them £35m off the asking price to suit their budget. His price should be a minimum £75m

  • Willsy says:

Why are we the only team that sells players at a loss or on the cheap, except Rice. Look at Bournemouth, and Brentford ‘you want our players it’s top dollar or
    F off’

    • Masilela says:

Lmao y’all sell cheap because the club is small by all means possible. They don’t even have a league 🏆 ever!! Yall sold Rice for 100m because it was another overhyping from English ppl offa they on players yet Manchester city paid half that price for Rodri who is 10x better than Rice in anyway possible..yall think you’re a club that deserves to negotiate with top clubs wanting to poach yoir players who deserve world stage presence lol…if y’all block kudus from leaving i wouldn’t be surprised if he pulls a Tevez or mahrez and go AWOL refuse to train or play until he csn force his way out to fulfil his dreams..you fans are so deluded thinking you have the power to trap a player just because you want him to stay , it’s not up to you. Kudus will be sold whether for 50m or less, especially if europe is calling and small clubs need any form of funds they’ll take the deal. Hilarious!

  • Towers says:

    Isn’t he under contract…..

  • JohnE says:

Sell someone else to start the ball rolling and tell Kudus he’ll be staying.

    • Ammers 66 says:

I like that. Tell him to perform next year and promise to sell him at the right £85m price.

  • Beyond caring now says:

    Simple then….leave it
There’s a price that he’s worth if there not prepared to meet it then jog on

    • Masilela says:

Lmao west ham is not a big club to think they can negotiate with big clubs coming for top players..Rice is overhyped by English ppl because he is English but Rodri is 10x better than rice and city got him for less 😂 😂 english deluded league and fans all over. Watch how he walks for 50m simple because you know west ham needs the funds and can’t turn away 50m especially if kudus wants to leave or he might boycott and go AWOL mahrez and tevez did it. Be careful not to be a fan who supports sport with they heart that’s how it czn kill you lol

  • mark wiggins says:

Not for 50 million , we say no . Might have been an off season but we can all see he’s quality . Surely he’s worth 65-75 million in today’s market !

  • Al says:

I’d say 85m or he stays, he’ll just go there start performing and his value will skyrocket. Only problem is getting him back to the form where he was easily worth that unfortunately bowen already playing on the right.

    • Simon says:

Yes .. Terrible recruitment and when we do get a good player we find our two best players play in the same position, which is bad planning .. That’s if we do any planning ..

  • ResultsMatter says:

Regarding player transfers, clubs around Europe with a lot less money manage to have fairly competitive teams. Why can’t we do it?

We just don’t have a good scouting team that watches promising players in various leagues (first and second divisions) around the world to have replacements ready for every player in the team. And if we find someone, we dither until someone else gets the player.

It is all a bit embarrassing….

    • Benny the Aussie says:

Spot on, this always perplexes me, we can’t see past the car park, but all these other European clubs do and for a tonne less

    • Joe says:

Shouldn’t have got rid of Tim 🙁

  • Phil says:

In other words not a lot different to their initial Declan Rice approach …..we should not succumb to any pressure from Kudus reps …..
