The West Ham co chairman in discussing the the players abilities in a www. kumb.com podcast declared: “He didn’t keep Queens Park Rangers up. If he’d kept them up single-handedly you might say it was different – and a few of those goals were penalties
“16 goals is still very good, but when we played Queens Park Rangers last year they had to win to stand any chance of staying up – and he wasn’t very good [that day].”
Sullivan also claimed there may be problems with the player’s knee and that we hadn’t got the money to buy him anyway – all of which appears to have gone down like a lead baloon with Austin.
And the player tweeted his thoughts in a cryptic message declaring: “The cheeky ………”
Sorry,i know everyone in the main today is having a love in with Gold & Sullivan but sometimes he talks bollox. This knee injury issue,150 games in 4 seasons & if not keeping QPR up is part of the criteria for not signing him why the hell were we looking at Rob Green, lol,i bet Austin ends up playing double the amount of games this season that Carroll does.Him & Gold are just a pair of fake Rolex watches & some think the sun shines out of their arses.
