Tottenham boss Daniel Levy prepares West Ham Kudus bid
Call me naïve, but I had begun to believe West Ham might actually hang on to Mohammed Kudus for at least another year.
Yes, his form last season was patchy—but the Ghanaian winger remains an incredibly talented footballer and is still rated among Europe’s top dribblers.
When West Ham signed him, the player’s representatives insisted on an £85 million release clause. It wasn’t ideal, but it offered the club a potential “double your money” scenario on the fee paid to Ajax.
However, following a lacklustre campaign, it became clear that nobody was going to come close to activating that clause. West Ham’s hierarchy eventually lowered their expectations to around £65 million—but still, no serious bids came in.
Daniel Levy will get the deal he wants for Kudus
When rumoured fees dropped towards the £50 million mark, the smarter ploy may have been to just keep him. After all, form is temporary and class is permanent right? If Kudus rediscovers his best form, his value will rise again—and nobody would be justified in complaining if the buyout clause wasn’t triggered.
And yet, West Ham now seem so desperate to shift him that almost any deal has become acceptable—even a bad one. Make no mistake, if Daniel Levy gets involved, the transaction won’t be easy. He’ll push for a deal on Spurs’ terms, with payment in long-term instalments.
With the Hammers still owing Ajax money, this will be a sale with little benefit—if any.
Previous talk of a £90 million board injection now rings hollow in the face of what looks like a rushed sale of our big asset. West Ham are starting to look increasingly desperate—and Daniel Levy, predictably, is ready to take full advantage.
Sixty million for a player who scored six goals last year is an absolute bargain. Ten million per goal.
Go tell Levy to do 1,we don’t do business with spurs…..keep Kudus & give the young guns the chance they deserve,
If Sully really wants to get the fans onsite he should lead spurs up the garden path then publicly tell them to go forth and multiply. I would rather pay Kudus full wages to sit on the bench than give Spuds their opportunity to get one over us.
I’m starting to think the pink rabbit flogger might be using young Kudus as a smokescreen. There is no way Kudas is leaving this club on a discount.
By the time we pay what we owe on him it would be a futile excuse!

What an absolute shambles we are.At the rate players are leaving the under 21 team will be playing in the Premiership because everyone else has left!
Sell to Spuds by all means but dont do it on cheap or Levy terms….he wants the player fine heres the price take it or leave it…nobody meets it then keep him and stick with the rag tag squad we have

We are so desperate to sell, the most anyone will bid will be £45m. Tell them to stick it and keep him, even if it means going into the season with the current squad. Potts will be chomping at the bit to be given a chance and looks a decent player.
The 3 teams coming up are going to be very weak and will be going straight back down. This season is a bit of a free hit.
We need to end the cycle of being mugged buying players and then mugged again selling them!
Levy is too clever for Sullivan & Co. Spurs will end up getting Kudus for less than £50 with instalments over 7 years, or something stupid like that. We’re awful when it comes to negotiations.
Don’t sell if less than £60m. We haven’t dealt with Spurs for 14 years for a reason… Levy.
