Baby boy has gone – let’s all rise above the brat

badgeNo I’m not disappointed. …no I’m not angry and no I don’t really care… but I am extremely relieved the baby boy got homesick and went home after acting like a brat.

Why, because his actions galvanised the squad and has taken us to what should be near safety and paved the way for players who want to play for West Ham to arrive .

It’s always alarming to see grown men behaving like children and I have no doubt that it will happen again at some stage because that what ‘children’ do.

It would be all too easy to rant and rave about his treacherous behaviour but in the end he’s not worth it and I reckon we should all rise above him.

I’ll just say this. I don’t believe all the stuff about family problems. I think this is just Payet who has acted in precisely the same way throughout his career when he has wanted his own way. Different club…different excuse.

He was bought for £10,5 million, gave us one good season and we have now made a £15 million profit with more to come probably.

The board had no alternative in the end because Slaven and the squad were desperate to be shot of him and the best deal the board could get was done.

He and his secret plotting were the reasons we couldn’t get more but I reckon in the end it was decent business.

Dimitri Payet is heading towards the last years of his career and on his way  back to a team in sixth place, 12 points off the top three in an average European league.

Poor ambition, poor human being, poor behaviour. We are well rid – now let’s all forget about the biggest baby ever to join our club.

As I wrote on the ClaretandHugh Facebook forum @https://www.facebook.com/groups/363174467150521/ Ta ta Payet – you are no longer an issue. You ruined the great moments we should have remembered completely. BE GONE WITH YER

  1. You’ve all heard of shooting yourself in the foot? Well, Payet has gone one better, and shot himself in both feet. So …

We took you in, we loved you, we made you.

You spat out your dummy, your problem, we won’t pick it up for you …

    Bye, bye.

  2. Yeah good riddance. I still would feel better if there was a backup striker, but otherwise this has been a decent window. You never really know until you see how they settle in, but fingers crossed. I feel we have behaved more like a ‘proper’ club in this window so cheers to the bosses for that.

Now he’s gone the only other thing I want to see the back of are the pop ups! Sorry will try not to mention it again.

    • Ads pay the bills and general costs – free service

      • Hugh good man the ads are fine, they pay the bills i understand that but the pop ups are killers.I know chaps love this site but they have stopped using it because the site crashes their dog or sends them off to the pop up site without them doing anything.
You try using this site on a dog for a week.It will drive you mad within a day or two i promise you.I aint having a go just telling it how it is.

  3. Good riddance. He has gone time to move on.Players come and go.He is another in a long list who will soon be forgotten about.

  4. Let him be gone.I aint shedding no tears meself we got a fair fee for him so the end of the story.maybes in the last summer we could have got more but the situation totally changed.I didnt see too many bashing the doors down with 50 million anyways after the euros
Hes just a footballer nothing to get angry about

  5. Onwards and upwards – that’s us, not him. Given how poorly he’s played this season, Fonte + Snodgrass + £5-10m seems like a great deal.

I’m not bitter, but I do reserve the right to wet my pants if he breaks a leg next week.

  6. Yeah ok Hugh I do understand the adds situation, and can put up with. It’s just when you can’ get rid d of the blooming things. Blast no said I wouldn’t mention them again. Joyous day nuff said. Bring on the adverts, as long as Payet doesn’t appear in them..

  7. Moore Brooking etc etc REAL players and REAL legends time to say by bye to a one season wonder who forgot who propelled him to eminence it happens so we move on worst has happened to millions and I will not swear cya froggy

  8. If we are going to say goodbye to him can we have the site moderators refuse on principle to ever post another article good or bad about him on the site ? Speaking personally I don’t know what others think but I have read enough articles on Payet that I genuinely never want to see another one, even if a disaster was to happen that he was involved in I couldn’t care less, he was not a hero to our club or a legend and I don’t want to ever hear of him being associated to West Ham news he is forever to be written out of our history imho. Judging by the tone of your article I would consider a reasonable request hopefully Hugh you do also ?

    • In other words I think the site should be a DPFZ or Dmitri Payet Free Zone, where it is safe to read without wetting your pants or throwing your dummy out of the pram 🙂

  9. So he’s off and we’ve done some decent business in the window – well done SuGo and Slav… what are the chances we kick on this term, we qualify for Europa League and we get drawn against OM/Payet in round of 32 next year?!!!! LOL!!!
