Bacca and Sakho transfers linked

Diafra-Sakho-315346Diafra Sakho’s move to Sunderland hinges on West Ham signing Carlos Bacca.

The Shields Gazette claim that Sunderland are banking on the completion of the Bacca deal to trigger the opportunity to land Sakho.

The Hammers appear to be equally keen to offload one striker from their wage bill or at least having a deal in place.

In its reprt the local paper says the Hammers are unwilling to let the 26-year-old leave West Ham without cover already in place.

West Ham are in advanced talks to sign Bacca in a reported £27.5million deal, with meetings due to take place today and a possible announcement on Saturday during the home kit launch at the former Olympic Stadium.

Twenty nine-year-old Baccca joined Milan from Sevilla 12 months ago for a fee of around £22million after his release clause was activated and is contracted to AC Milan until 2019.

Sakho was bought to England  by David Sullivan two years ago. He had cost £3.5million from FC Metz after Allardyce tried to change the terms of the deal from a permanent signing to a loan. Since his move to West Ham he has 44 appearances to his name and has scored a respectable 15 goals in that time.

  1. Pretty sure I remember that Sakho was a DS punt that had little to do with the Hippo.

  2. If BFS leaves it does make you wonder whether Sunderland will still want him.Yeah he was a DS punt but it must be Hippo who wants him up there now I would have thought.

  3. The more I hear about Bacca the more I hope it doesn’t happen

  4. Pull out of that bacca rubbish

  5. Oh Christ?? Forget that baaca

  6. Not keen on Bacca at all.

  7. Bacca or not we need another striker to replace Sak and probably another to cover Valencia,
We need to get real though,we keep bulking at wage demands but if we want the best that’s the cost,we had a good cheap forward but made him feel unwanted and now he is off,
If we are going to play a big forward with small fast player around him such as AC then we need to think about Bony and Remy,
Gomez was to expensive ( wages ) we are told
Benteke was to expensive ( wages ) same as
    Salami ditto
Can’t wait to see who fills the out going player boots but will we have heard of them ?
One thing is for sure they won’t be getting any mind blowing wages,

  8. Latest Italian news about Bacca are that he was waiting for a decision of Atletico Madrid, but apparently Simeone is focused on Gameiro and so London appears to be the destination of Bacca… Personally I’d be happy about this deal, he is a warrior and a good striker, not young, but not as old as my grandfather…. lol I’d prefer Lacazette, but ehi, Bacca is not Raducioiu… 😉

    • What about Higuain Matte ? Rumour is we are trying to get him for 59 million, gooners are also interested….

      • Hi 32… yes, I heard the same thing… Gooners are trying to get Higuain for €50 mil. + Giroud, while West Ham are prepared to offer €70 mil…. I consider Higuain the best striker in the world right now, but at the same time I consider this news the greatest bulls#it story ever told… lol I hope I’m wrong… 😉
