Carlos Bacca is open to leaving AC Milan after West Ham’s initial bid of €20m for the Colombian striker was rejected earlier this week confirms his agent.
Howver, the Colombian’s agent Sergio Barila indicated his client would be interested in moving to England.
“There was an offer last week from West Ham which was rejected so we must wait,” Barila, who denied reports that he had flown to London to seal the deal, told the Guardian newspaper. “Carlos is very happy in Milan because it is a very big club and he has enjoyed his time there so far. But they will not play in European competition next season and that could be a problem. At the moment Carlos is training with the national team for the Copa América and it is likely we will have to wait for the new investors before anything can develop.”
Bacca scored 34 goals in 71 appearances for Sevilla having joined from the Belgian side Club Brugge in 2013.
window officially opens next Thursday & I reckon the 2 Daves & Slav have a few suprises up there sleeves making offers for this & that striker is to annoy the spuds & there panic bu lol we all know it’s a waiting game & we wasn’t let down last year on transfers if they sell Sakho il be gutted as when he plays he’s untouchable but if we can get 11 -15 mill for him then get 2 decent strikers in then happy days we all know we need a right back & prob central defender the midfield is as good as any in the prem
I take it you are referring to the piece on Wets.I got a few lines through it & gave up.I have only being reading the site for about 3 or 4 weeks & most the articles in that time have been complete pants.
Are you sure you don’t want to get back to talking politics on the Oasis of sensible debate Essexclarets lol
There is no point trying to have an intelligent discussion with certain people 😉
Lol that’s brilliant, you got Floppysacked on there loool 😀
If we have to wait for Milan to sort themselves out we could be in danger of missing out on a alternative. This summers euro’s is going to be a shopping window for so many players whoare looking for a move, imo we have had our fingers burnt slightly with Valencia coming off a good WC. I’m hoping that we find a gem who can do the business next season 🙂
I said before I really rate Bacca having seen a lot of him for Sevilla, admittedly not so much for AC Milan but the geezer has scored more than 50 goals in about 110 appearances in those leagues.Thats pretty impressive.I dont see him as a Messiah but I see him as a bloody good forward who is far better than we have right now.It aint like he has scored these goals for top teams in the leagues either,AC Milan are p*ss poor these days.Still each to their own.
Carroll has never been prolific Stan & I don’t see him becoming that either.I like Carroll but I think quite a few of our fans have an obsession with him.Always believing he is going to be on fire eventually.I dont see it happening,it ain’t so far.Thats before you even factor in injuries.
Well I keep reading how Carroll is going to be on fire next season,he is going to score 20 goals next year.Well I have read the same sh#t for the last two summers lol I’m still waiting for it to happen.
I wasn’t impressed with our forward line last season, Valencia has scored 9 goals since he signed for the club. Over £1m per goal.. no where near good enough he should be aiming at double that each season. Another south american who cant adapt to the PL. For every Lanzini & Aguero there are half a dozen failures, imo if we can get anywhere near what we paid for him we should take the money. Moses & Emenike both gone so i reckon we need two new faces to come in.
Yeah let’s not talk about transfer bids let’s talk politics or should I be on Wetlands for that lmao
What is it with you lot.Move on,move on,move on.Thats exactly what the fuck fans were saying last season when the Payet deal was dragging on.It was a good job we didn’t move on then wasn’t it lol.You put an offer in for a player of course you are showing your hand. Its called a bid for a player. What the fuck were we ment to do,not bid for any player till the last day of the transfer window so we didn’t show our hand. What a load of shit.
The reason I said “move on” is because in my humble opinion I don’t see Bacca as the goal scoring Messiah. If someone else does well all power to them.End of story.
Tore and Townsend !!!
Move on ! No rush , we have goals in this side as it is ! Get umtiti , a right back , and a couple of quality mid fielders to add to nordvelt , all this talk of a classy c/f is surely disrupting the side ! We were fantastic last term and for bad decisions going against us we would be in c/l position , wait and see who wants to come , make a big bid for the bat or lukaku ! With the money available we need to be as cute as the agents , don’t let them rip us
Off .carol seems to have turned the corner on fitness and sakho is irreplaceable IMO , his work rate is far and few between , Valencia will move on ! Our immediate problem is conceeding goals not scoring them .
Move on Max.We are being played by the agents because we have already shown our hand. Batshuayi is my pick even if we have to pay over the top to get him. These Belgium’s have a knack of finding the back of the net.
Bacca is worth up to 20 million pounds, and no more. A ‘marquee signing’
Batshuayi is worth up to ~ 30 millions pounds. A ‘marquee signing’
At this point in time, these 2 players look to be the ‘best of the crop’; however, we should also consider players like Callieri, Icardi, and Bony (so called 2nd group level), as competent ‘fox-in- the-box’ strikers capable of scoring up to 15 goals (each) in a 38 game EPL season.
Bacca , Batshuayi, and one of the 2nd group strikers, could set us back 65 million pounds, but I believe that they would represent good value.
