Bad news for Mikey but relief for the Hammers

It’s tough on Mikey Antonio of course but good news for the Irons that Jamaica have now crashed out of World Cup qualification.

The Reggae Boyz were kicked out of the qualifiers after failing to win a single game and it means the Irons can now see the No 9 concentrate solely on our two cup competitions and the Premier League.

David Moyes was keen to express his discontent at the player having to travel thousands of air miles pointing out that he is no longer a young man in footballing terms.

But that will now come to an end with Mikey ready to concentrate his energies on the Premier League , Europa Cup and FA Cup.

We are delighted that the 31 year old has made his appearances in international football but in such a big season it’s good that he can now concentrate his mind in the Hammers as they bid to win a trophy and complete the season in the top four.
