Balbuena opens up with a share of points

Fabian Balbuena played for the full 90 minutes yesterday for the Paraguayan side against the Honduras in a friendly match which finished 1-1.

Balbuena took the number 4 shirt and played alongside captain Bruno Valdez at the heart of the defence.

The match took place in the city of Ciudad del Este, which is his home town, and the Paraguayans took the lead when  striker for the team Oscar Cardozo scored from the penalty spot.

Balbuena looks likely to be part of the team throughout throughout the the upcoming Copa America tournament and will be looking to victory for the third time.

Paraguay won the cup twice, once back in 1953 and again in 1979. They will be taking on Qatar in Rio for their first Group B fixture on Sunday June 16th.

We wish Fabian the best of luck in the South American Cup.
