Move for Hammers midfielder made by Barcelona
In an unusual transfer development this morning, there are reports linking our own Pablo Fornals to a potential move to Barcelona. Barca are reportedly contemplating a surprise approach for the West Ham midfielder, who will become a free agent at the end of the current season.
This information comes from a recent report by Spanish outlet Cadena Ser, stating that Xavi has identified Fornals as a potential replacement for Gavi.
The Catalan giants, currently positioned third in La Liga and seemingly unlikely to contend for the top spot. They are also facing further allegations that have significantly restricted their spending ability in the transfer market.
On the surface, a move for Fornals might appear peculiar. However, given Barcelona’s financial constraints due to various allegations, the potential purchase of Fornals would make economic sense.
Fornals was initially expected to join Sevilla at the end of his current contract. Still, the allure of a move to a prestigious club like Barcelona may be too enticing for him to decline.
Nothing surprising at all, he is an outstanding player, skill, intelligence, a brain for football that is just beyond a clown like Moyes. Yet another player like Anderson, Lanzini etc who has been total mis-managed by a manager who should have be sacked 12 months ago. It will be a really sad day if he leaves the club.
