Batshuayi insider update

Daft transfer rumours that West Ham leads the race for Chelsea outcast Michy Batshuayi have been denied by a senior club insider this morning. A number of tabloids run with the headline suggesting the Hammers were leading the race to sign the striker for £40m.

The Sun today suggested West Ham were favourited the 26-year-old joined Chelsea for £33m from Marseille in 2016 and has a deal until 2021 but has struggled for game time in West London

The Daily Express claimed an Exclusive also claiming Batshuayi would leave after RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner joins the West London club.

The rumour first appeared in the Daily Mirror two days ago which suggested Batshuayi and Barkley could join West Ham this summer.

Claret and Hugh poured cold water on that story at the time saying that ship had well and truly sailed.

Now our senior club insider has confirmed our the previous story calling the Batshuayoi rumours completely stupid adding the club had no money to complete such a deal.

Hopefully, this puts this transfer rumours to bed once and all, it is ex transfer rumour, it has ceased to be.

  1. As much as I’m no supporter of the board or Moyes let’s get real and buying someone for 40mill is not going to happen especially bats from chelski. We should concentrate on buying sou after loan and getting a right and left back in and getting rid of the many ones not needed now including Wilshire yarmo ajeti masu cresswell Fred zab and must be enough cash after getting rid wages as well saved to buy and get loans for those two full backs of quality . And yes we will stay up COYI

  2. He didn’t want to come either when he went to Chelsea and when he went to CP on loan. Wouldn’t want him at any price. Better value in Championship from younger hungrier players who want to jump up a level.
