Batshuayi set for crunch talks

Chelsea-striker-Michy-Batshuayi-614216Michy Batshuayi is set for crunch talks with Chelsea in the coming days according to reports which say he wants assurances over his future after struggling to make enough first team starts in his first season.

Diego Costa has already been told he has no future at the club by Antonio Conte and is expected to be replaced Romelu Lukaku.

Batshuayi is said to be happy to compete with Lukaku for a first team place, but wants assurances that Conte won’t leave him locked out of the team for another season. A lack of first-team opportunities means he could be dropped by his national team ahead of the World Cup.

West Ham are willing to break the bank to sign Batshuayi permanently but Chelsea are said to be only willing to consider a season loan deal instead. Chelsea are insisting they won’t conclude any deal for Batshuayi until they find a replacement for Costa so this is another deal that has stalled at the moment.

  1. There is next to zero chance Batshuayi will sign for us so not really bothered what he is up to, the chairmen can leak what they want about us being interested in him he isn’t interested in joining us and in the unlikely event he was told he was surplus to requirements there would be plenty of teams playing European football that could advance his international career better than we could.

  2. I hope the board learned there lesson from last seasons disastrous transfer windows & chase shadows I know it’s early in transfer window & it would be nice as a season tkt holder to get some decent strikers in & get rid of Carroll & Sakho as we have a young lad Martinez chomping at the bit to play first team football & how can he learn with our 2 strikers most of the season injured as we’re not in Europe this season gonna be a struggle to land quality I hope I’m wrong COYI
