Bayern Leverkusen want £17.7m for Chicharito

HernandezBayern Leverkusen are reported to want 20 million Euros which converts to around £17.7m for their top striker Javier Hernandez claims German newspaper BILD today.

The newspaper says West Ham and Chicharito have already agreed on personal terms on a deal believed to worth up to  £145,000 per week to the player but West Ham’s offer 16 million euros (£14.1m) is said to be too low and Leverkusen wants to have at least 20 million Euro transfer fee for the Mexican striker to be sold.

Yesterday, West Ham Chairman’s son Jack Sullivan disputed the widely reported £13m release fee on social media suggesting the fee may be much higher than previously thought.

  1. Why was it widely reported that a €13m deal was agreed & he was on his way to london? still worth it & compaired to other targets cheap.

    • Because often one media outlet says it & the rest of the press jump on the bandwagon dont they.I would still pay that for him no problem.Rather that for him than 20 mill for a donkey like Wood of Leeds 😀

      • But what will happen to the China doll? Hope DS doesn’t say the wrong thing like we’ve finally got a proper striker and bruise his ego or shatter his confidence 😆😆

  2. Yeah think he is worth a punt. £13m would have been a bargain imo, but £17m is probably about the best we can expect in the current climate. Think I said a couple of weeks back that I have reservations based on seeing him in the Confed Cup, but that was only a couple of games/end of season etc so let’s give him benefit of the doubt. More to the point give Bayer the dosh & get the deal closed!

  3. £17 million is nothing for him in this over-inflated market. The fella scores goals, which the unplayable on his day wizard and sakho cant do from a treatment table.

  4. In agreement with you all on that even at £20 – £25m still value for money considering we were going to pay £30m for Bacca last year.

  5. German new tabloid Kicker reported this morning its down deal.
They are reporting that Arnautovic has been signed too.

  6. Agree with other posters. His release clause was £13m expect Leverkusen to get more of they can. And player of is ilk under £20m is still a bargain.
