BBC pundit Mark Lawrenson predicts Liverpool will be too much for West Ham this weekend and that Reds fresh from their short break in Marbella will end 3-0 winners at Anfield this Saturday. He points out they are unbeaten at home this season.
Lawro wrote on his BBC website column: “Both teams had last weekend off and Liverpool used their break to head to Marbella for a few days. The Reds are unbeaten in the league at Anfield this season and we know how they attack teams in their home games. We also know that Liverpool’s front players are in excellent form and I don’t see the West Ham defence coping with them.
Lawro’s prediction: 3-0″
If by some miracle, West Ham can grab an early goal, the outcome could be quite a surprise!
89th min would be ideal max 😜.
And no 2 in the 90th blood 👍
0-2 to the Irons ….. a draw would be nice but I think we have it in us to go there and nick it…
Bring the points back to London chaps and lift the doom and gloom that’s been hovering around lately……
Hopefully a great weekend for Hammers all over the world..
WOOHOOO!! COYI
Wouldn’t be the first time West Ham have beaten the odds and silenced the pundits .
Liverpool haven’t lost at home all season so , there’s a record to lose . Would be nice to be on the right side of a record for once . Any game is winnable in the Premiership . Maybe Liverpool will be overconfident against lowly West Ham and get it all wrong . West Ham are playing for survival and shouldn’t be underestimated . It’s a very difficult fixture for us but losing is not a 100% certainty .
COYHAMMERS
I am stunned that Mark Lawro is backing Liverpool at home to West Ham… just unbelievable, absolutely dumb stuck and confounded……. what a SHOCKER…….?
Although according to oddschecker, every single bookie has ‘pool odds on between 4/17 and 2/9 ……. West Ham to win, as short as 10/1 and long as 14s……. Lawro’s prediction is starting to sounds less shocking.
I would settle for a 97th minute winner for us with the last kick of the game.
Not sure what Lawro is speaking about defence for our dads army are head and shoulders above Liverpools dodgy defence and hapless keepers. On paper they should have too much for us in midfield and attack but they struggle to break down stubborn teams now they have lost Coutinho, just sit deep with 10 men behind the ball and they will struggle.
