BBC pundit predicts the West Ham party is over

BBC pundit Mark Lawrenson predicts the party s over and West Ham will end up with zero points from their encounter with Spurs on Sunday.

Lawro tells his BBC website readers ‘West Ham have won both games while their manager David Moyes has been in isolation recovering from coronavirus, but he should be back in the dugout for this one. We might get a first look at Gareth Bale in action for Tottenham too, if he is fit, but they have been doing pretty well without him to be honest. I’m going for a Spurs win, whether Bale features or not.’

Lawro’s prediction is a 2-1 Spurs home win

Claret and Hugh say:

With two wins and two clean sheets over Wolves and Leciester City David Moyes and his squad will up for another away win against the odds. West Ham became the first team to beat Spurs at their new stadium last year when Michal Antonio surprised the pundits and beat the bookies in a 1-0 win.

The team knows that derby means a lot to the fans and I am sure they will go all out for the win and stop Jose Mourinho well lad plans.

My prediction is another 1-0 away win thanks to Michail Antonio.

  1. Fantastic! Whenever Lawrenson predicts a result it’s invariably the opposite of what actually happens. So, now he’s said that I can look forward to another great victory over the Spuds. Why on earth do the BBC keep employing him?

  2. I don’t get why you keep quoting this miserable dinosaur.

  3. I think it will be a tough game, a lot will depend on Soucek and Rice for our performance, they are the foundation for most of our great wins.

  4. Would be nice to read that he’s been replaced by an unbiased forecaster.
