West Ham United are a club on limited funds for January and actively looking to develop new young talent: Without the multi- millions already spent in the summer, it could be a case of looking closer to home, as we did when elevating Jarrod Bowen to Premier League status from the Championship at Hull City.

An intriguing development comes from Spanish site fichajes.net who are often on the ball with some of their Premier League whispers.

Today their article  entitled ‘The Premier League Club that Wants to Sign Bellingham’s Brother‘ provides details that “Jobe Bellingham, younger brother of Jude Bellingham, could make the leap to the Premier League” – to West Ham.

Jobe Bellingham, a 19 year old Sunderland midfielder is already on a number of clubs’ radar according to the report which details: “West Ham’s interest is driven by both Jobe’s quality and potential to thrive in a more demanding league. His addition to the London team would be a bet on the future, given that the young midfielder has displayed traits similar to those of his brother Jude, especially in his ability to unsettle opponents and create goal-scoring opportunities from midfield.

West Ham’s manager, Julen Lopetegui, is aware that Jobe has all the necessary attributes to adapt to the intensity of the Premier League and contribute to the club’s long-term project.”

Priced apparently around £20 million, he’d be more like a Bowen than a Guilherme punt – well worth the risk to add to West Ham’s currently ponderous midfield. We’ll watch and wait for more news.

From the old Bobby Moore Upper to the Billy Bonds' stand these days I've been watching since '03 and a supporter since about 1970.. Don't take my comments too seriously, imagine we are having a chat at half time over a pint at L S and "let's disagree without falling out".

If they are looking for an attacker that Liverpool were eyeing is Ayman Hussein the attacker of the national team of Iraq .. he can be bought for cheap but very effective.

Takes me back to the 70’s when the local paper said Best was signing to West Ham. Yep it happened, we got Clyde.

  • Apone says:

No chance he goes for £20m.

No chance he goes to West Ham in January.

    Simples

  • Macque says:

The chances of him going for £20m are less likely than West Ham winning the Premier League this season.
