Benrahma has a new fan

|

West Ham captain Declan Rice took time to praise fellow teammate Said Benrahma who made his starting debut for West Ham last night.

Speaking to West Ham TV Rice said “The game was opening up, you could see that. Once we’d beaten their first couple of players, it was an open game and for players like Said and Jarrod to get on the ball. Tonight was special and special for Said, as well. What a player!”

Rice posted a selfie of himself with Said Benrahma on his personal Instagram account with the caption ‘What a player!”

The 25-year-old added a completely different dimension to our attacking play. It’s clear to see that he wanted to prove to David Moyes that he should be starting every game from now on.  David Moyes played down the performance of loanee from Brentford as is often the way with the gaffer, he doesn’t like the praise to go to his players had and he did a similar thing with Jarrod Bowen.

It will be hard for Moyes to drop Benrhama from the starting lineup on Wednesday when the Hammers face Palace after that performance.

I feel that after Said has scored a few worldies for us,we will have to put up with news headlines akin to Declan Rice. After watching Benny last night,it wont be long before he scores. This team is crying out for a magician and this guy looks like hes got quite a few party tricks up his sleeve.

Yes he is exciting, but does need to look about himself more rather than shooting every time , same goes to Bowen to some extent. Both need to be in ahead of Fornals who is guaranteed to miss a golden chance every game. He runs a lot but final pass is normally poor and he cannot really tackle. Said’s ability to turn defenders inside out is a joy to watch.
When he learns the PL ways he will be awesome for us.

Agree with your comments on SB and JB. We were being beat up on the right until Fornals and Bowen switched sides for a short while. If we play 4-4-2 then, until Masuaku is back, Fornals should start. The left side, with Cressy and Fornals was a closed shop.

Once Benrahma gets up to Premiership speed we are gonna have one hell of a productive game-changer. He is both fearless and confident in his ability… and this is just the start….Imagine if he was playing behind Antonio last night???
We have at times been unlucky (or possibly foolish) in the transfer market… But Säid is an all-out Winner, make no mistake about that.

Wasn’t his best game actually. Not on a par with the kind of performances he used to put in for Brentford. To give him his due though this was against an ultra hard working, hard pressing team in Leeds. He has got the spectacular in his tool kit but thought last night he was trying a bit too hard to prove it on the big stage. I think once he settles down and his confidence grows we will see the best of him. What is for certain is that we now seem to have a perfect balance of hard work and creativity in our team. Under pellegrini I often thought it was all flair and no hard work, which is akin to all mouth and no trousers in footballing terms. Now it’s the opposite. It’s exciting times and long may it continue.

What a player! Reckon he could be the key to unlock that stubborn Palace defence. He’s got to start.
