Said Benrahma is currently rejecting a move to Lyon.
Despite the Hammers accepting an offer of around £5 million for the loan from the French Ligue One club plus a £10 million non obligatory purchase fee the player wants a huge but unspecified pay off from West Ham to make the move happen.

It was believed the deal was done and dusted but this afternoon Claret and Hugh has learned that is most certainly not the case.
The French club have been tracking Benrahma since his Brentford days but as things stand are unlikely to get their man.
Beyond wanting a hefty pay off from the Hammers the 28 year old Algeria international is not keen to join a club currently stranded in the relegation positions and was much more enthusiastic to join Marseilles who had shown an interest.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but as he hasn’t handed in a transfer request, he is due a loyalty bonus, as per his contract????

Me personally, I’d give him the choice. Go out on loan or go in reserves. Never have rated him. Never has impressed me.
