It will have come as no surprise to ClaretandHugh readers to learn this morning that Christian Benteke is ready to stay and fight for his place at Liverpool.
For just 24 hours ago we reported theplayer had slipped to the bottom of the Irons wanted list given his required £120k a week personal terms with the club wanting £32 million.
Our story followed information we’d received from close to the player that talks had between all sides and that the numbers were much too high for the Irons liking.
Now his apparent U turn comes according to the media after he and the club have effectively priced themselves out of the chance of selling him.
The Reds have told us and Palace they want a minimum of £30 million and unless they adjust their position the deal is dead.
Hahahahaha. Firstly we don’t want him. Secondly, typical Liverpool. Overinflated opinion of itself -both as a club and its players. He will turn out to be another Balotelli. Another year on the payroll or on loan and they will tell him to sling his hook.
