Besiktas confirm Gore return terms

gokhan-tore-551520Besiktas have confirmed ClaretandHugh’s morning story that Gokhan Tore will only return to the club from his West Ham loan if the Hammers surrender the £2.5 million loan fee.

And we understand that the Irons are ready to do so and save the £40,000 a week wages we are paying the flop winger.

We reported earlier that the Hammers were keen to send him back and that the only snag would be the Hammers refusing to pay the loan fee in full.

Now the Turkish club chairman is reported as saying: “We will take Tore back in January on one condition. We won’t pay West Ham back the £2.5 million loan money for him.

“Gokhan wants to come back to Besiktas. We will only agree if they agree over the loan payment. And they are paying his wages in full.”

The Hammers will probably hassle a little on the terms but will finally pay up as they find room in the budget for a more effective loan or permanent signing in January.

At least he set up the goal for Antonio v Bournemouth but it is strange Slav misjudged his suitability so much.
It might have helped if the team had been on song when he played .

Hugh is correct. We forego the full £2.5m loan fee plus the £40k per week wages we have been paying Tore, but as soon as he returns home the £40k stops being paid by us. Tore has been a total disaster for us, on the pitch and off it financially, and we will have flushed away over £3m come January. Unfortunately the responsibility for this sits squarely with Slav. But on the bright side, we could have flushed away £12m had we brought him in permanently!

I don’t fully get this. The chairman of Besiktas is quoted to have said “…And they (WHU) are paying his wages in full.” But you, Hugh, are saying it will save us his weekly 40K wages. Do we know what is actually the case?

Anyway, I would prefer sending him back even if we had to pay his wages, he just has not succeeded with us at all, so best thing for him and for us that he is departing.

He won’t be going back if we are paying the loan fee and his wages in full as the muppet from Besiktas demanded, basically whats the point in that we might aswell keep him because there is no benefit, if we pay the loan fee and part of his wages or just the loan fee then it makes sense.

This is worrying because there can be little doubt that he is Slavan’s man . I was happy to believe that Zaza,Calleri and the hopeless Norweigen were forced on him by the owners but now I am not so sure .
