Betting on next West Ham manger suspended

bilicTwo leading bookmakers PaddyPower and BWin in the football special market have suspended betting on the next West Ham manager while the remaining two Sky Bet and Bet Victor have made former Hammer Slaven Bilic a massive odds on favourite. Sky Bet lists Blic as 2/7 on while Bet Victor list him 1/4.  Sky Bet lists every other manager candidate including Rafa Benitez and David Moyes as 16/1 or more while Bet Victor list Rafa at 12/1 and every other candidate at 16/1 or more.

The move in the betting market on these two bookmakers and suspension of two others indicate that the bookers believe West Ham have found their man.

  1. Ahh,interesting, seems that Slaven is the man.Queue The Sammerettes reaching for their stats to find any reason they can to convince people he will get us relegated & is a backward step compared to The Genius 😉

  2. Yep true that. How will we survive without Sam.I expect the bookies are also making us favourites for relegation as we speak. It is logical isnt it? Sam goes we get relegated, thats how it works doesnt it in the world of sam lover & lovers of respecting the point.

  3. I hope we still negotiate with guys like Klopp, Emery and Bielsa. Nothing wrong with Bilic of course. But why not try to at least gauge what the other managers’ ideas are in terms of taking West Ham to the next level ?

  4. I hope Bilic gets the job if only for one reason – it unites the West Ham fans and the blog sites. Sick and tired of all the infighting, wetpants.com and Samerettes etc is just so childish. We should and hopefully will, all be supporting one club – West Ham, in harmony come next week.

We have some great fan sites run by people who put a lot into running them for no profit to themselves. We as West Ham fans should be able to enjoy them all without all the crap and nastiness that so many bloggers (from all sites) have portrayed in recent months.

  5. I read that valencia could be going!! Not sure weather that’s a good or bad thing as I do like him. I think he will be a different player under a different manager.
I will be happy with billic I think he will show a bit of passion and I think It will catch on with the whole club, especially as it’s our last season and we could be in the Europa.
I think it’s safe to say it’s either going to go 1 way or another. Let’s just hope we don’t let the boleyn down for its final glorious season in the premier league. COYI I will forever blow bubbles

  6. Agree we all need to unite & back our New Manager, just hope he restores us to being THE ACADEMY once again – COYI

  7. Tony, are you the Wetpants poster from Australia I met after the Burnley game ?

  8. Hamburg you are priceless, you bring fresh air every time you post,
We will unite if people embrace change starting with the manager,it’s going to happen so we do not need stats or negative attitudes towards our new manager before he even starts,
So if you are a Sam fan sorry he has gone get over it,
Stop coming on this site trying to get people here to bite,it will not help the club or fan base,
But if you feel the need to come and attack us I am sure you will get a response,

  9. One West Ham family! Sam has divided the fans but I feel no animosity towards him. Time to forgive and forget now. Maybe we can start by calling other West Ham sites by their real names. I write for both sites and have time and patience for different views and opinions, that’s what makes us great. At the end of the day we are all West Ham Till We Die!

  10. Sean I blog on both sites as well and do not wish the animosity either but when you post on the other site if your views differ from the elite few you get abuse not a formal argument,
The trouble is don’t throw stones in a glass house,
Even you write differently on the other site because of the response, nothing wrong with that
But you have never been verbally attacked on this site but Hugh has been continuely abused and so has his site,
Maybe you should post the same on the other site and see what response you receive.
    West Ham Forever

  11. I don’t disagree with your comments bubs and I agree it takes two to have an argument and heal an argument. I will also post something on westhamtillidie.com (the real name) 😉 for a West Ham site love in

  12. Sean having posted on both sites I agree there must be some unity but this goes both ways. I use C+H because it’s a football blog with wit and banter ,we might not agree about everything but it’s football in the end and as an adult I don’t take offence….WHTID is the total opposite ,lighthearted banter with a high % of the members is great but the site seems to be run by a select clique who instigate the issues because it doesn’t fall in line with their opinions.

  13. Hmmm… Slaven Bilic… I don’t know, I need some stats about him… sorry but if he can’t bring stability until we love to the OS, if he’s not a top tot really top manager well sorry… but I would go with Sam again. Lol

  14. “If the next manager is not a top manager I would go with Sam again” and “be careful what you wish for” are my favourite sentences… I’m gonna get two tattoos… I don’t want to forget that… Loool

  15. His stats are poor Matte…His win % is only 55% that’s nowhere near good enough to replace the ” Messiah” 39%…. We cannot allow this to happen we need a manager with a 100% win ratio, with premiership experience, can speak perfect English if we can’t we better keep the “Messiah” as without him were doomed …..if only Kevin could leave FIFA 15 and manage us with his tactical and though provoking ideas…

  16. Ahahah… I don’t Know if Little Kev knows Fifa 15 GW… I think he’s still playing with His old Subbuteo… He’s the glorious manager of his West Ham imagining he is the Genius… Lool

  17. Sorry Matte but for once I’d have to disagree, with subbuteo you couldn’t hoof the ball high and long or have a tall solo striker as they’re all the same size so this surely would rule out Kev and his sister from believing this was true hippo genius football lol

    • Ahah… You’re right Quick, I hadn’t thought about that… Every time Kevin uses his winning long ball style, he flings his little players out the window… Lol

  18. to all Sam lovers esp Kev & Spoons look at the Initials S A to S B thats a step up for a start plus Bilic was a Hammer as for the Hippo he plied hes trade at the pikey scum I rest my case Lardyarse no affiliation with our club goodbye BFS & hello Bilic

  19. Matte it’s not a problem they hit the bars and bounce back in again then his sister spoonie
Picks them up ( after she put his barbie down )and gives them back to him singing his song
    BFS very big army )
The man in the white coat ( grandad ) slaps his legs and off they go again,
