West Ham United currently have multiple bids in for players, Claret & Hugh has learnt this evening from top sources.
One of the offers is believed to be for Leicester City goalkeeper Mads Hermansen, while another is thought to be for an as-yet-unnamed midfielder.
Earlier this evening, a London Stadium spokesman was asked whether the club would need to sell players before making bids. The response was telling:
“There are bids in for players now,”
Although when pressed further, the club declined to reveal any names, saying:
“We don’t want to let our rivals know our plans.”
C&H has since been informed by a second source that one of the offers is indeed for Hermansen, with talks ongoing between West Ham and Leicester City.
Although unconfirmed, it’s believed that another bid could be for Aston Villa midfielder Jacob Ramsey. Representatives from West Ham were in discussions over Ramsey earlier today, but we’ve yet to receive confirmation of a formal offer.
The activity suggests Graham Potter and Kyle Macaulay are stepping up efforts in the transfer market, with deals potentially moving quickly in the coming days.
Why have we waited until August to make bids for players? There is zero forward planning at our club. The circus continues and will not change until Sullivan is removed from the helm
Is it a offer ? Are just another one of our silly bids that’s the normal for Sullivan and Co
How can we bid when we apparently have no money
Please keep Paquete he is irreplaceablewolud rather have Elliott and Morton than Ramsey
Lyon have a bid in for Morton but think asking price of £8m is to much.
Surely as a player Potter wanted whu could come in and hijack their bid.
Yes I totally agree, Ramsey has never really impressed me either.
We do need a more creative type of midfielder.
I hope Potts and Earthy get a shot
Still holding out hope that we get Onyedika
Why would you ask who the bids are for, let alone name these players?! Stand by to get gazumped by the usual suspects.
Romano will reveal the names anyway.
