Big boost for Bilic

michail-antonio-west-ham-stoke_3387473Slaven Bilic is set to for a much needed boost by welcoming four players back over the the next two weeks.

The manager claims Michail Antonio will be ready for the match aganst Southampton and that Kouyate, Lanzini and even Andy Carroll may be available for selection against Newcastle.

He said: “Michail Antonio should be back for the game against Southampton and then Cheikhou, Manuel and even Andy Carroll should be there for the game against Newcastle in the third game of the season, or latest after the international break which is after that game.

“All of them will be back very soon and we can talk about that, but we had a decent team out on Sunday and I expected more.”

And the encouraging news from the match at Old Trafford is that we suffered no injuries and despite a near year’s lay off Diafra Sakho came through with no problems whatsoever.

  1. Or in Lanzini’s case, when the transfer window closes. Can’t help seeing the parallels of Le Snakes departure last year. First extended holiday, then injured, comes back, given a shirt despite not performing then forcing transfer. Who do you think Lanzini would rather play for, that shower of brown stuff that were on show at Old Trafford or Liverpool with the mega wages offer and European football.

Oh course he loves West Ham, does the cross hammers bit whenever the situation allows, really looking forward to a relegation battle rather than a title tilt.

    • Agree at first Lanzini’s injury was said to be a Knock and would be back in few days then presason out but will start. Then Southampton with Antonio. Think he is just playing safe in case Liverpool do come in same reason he has had a good deal for month. I hate to be think he would do that but many do. But not sure the extent of “Injury” Marko did it to come here. But it is not preseason anymore. Another reason I wish the Window closed before opening day.
But good news Carvahlo is looking more and more likely and I would think having Carvahlo could play a 4-3-3 with Lanzini on his left coming in behind Marko Chicarito and Antonio and Koutaye on his right and think that would be exciting attacking football against more defensive teams. Maybe go back 3 agaiant high orssing teams.
But it is suspicious and I hate to feel that way but unfortunately it happens these days. Even tho not sure he would even start there with Coutinho gone

  2. I suspect we had no injuries because we were too slow to the tackle so there was not too much physical contact which is a poor reflection on our performance I do not understand
Why we are so slow in Slav’s first season we were a very fast counter attacking team & the oppposition could not handle our tactics the last season we have lost all pace & Slav’s buys have also been slow as well as poor. He needs to get his act together quick or he will be out at Christmas

  3. None of our players got close enough to any of theirs to get injured Slav lol.
