Big decisions ahead for Moyes

Make no mistake, West Ham are facing a very tricky match against Bundesliga outfit Freiburg on Thursday evening in Germany.

The German outfit – currently eighth in the league – have run into a very useful vein of form at the right time having won their third match in a row over Augsburg on Sunday.

But more than that – and which will put them in great heart – they also recorded a clean sheet and will be remembering topping their group last season after of course, as reported, beaten Olympiakos in their opening game this time around.

They are reported to have a couple of long term absentees but beyond that are relatively free of problems.

David Moyes looks set to make changes given the strength of the team he is facing on what is a difficult surface although how and where will remain a mystery until an hour before kick off.

Certainly it looks set to be stronger than the team which beat Backa Topola 3-1 in the opening game.
