West Ham have Officially released their pricing strategy for the Olympic Stadium revealing some huge discounts and a new band 5 at just £289 per season which they claim is the cheapest in the Premier League.
All Under 16 Season Tickets have been reduced to £99 which is a reduction of between 51% and 61% on next season’s prices.
Band 1 season ticket holders will see a more modest 3% reduction meaning an adult will pay £899 while the over 65’s, Under 21’s and the disabled will pay £450.
Band 2 season ticket holders will see a 7% reduction meaning an adult will pay £799 while the over 65’s, Under 21’s and the disabled will pay £399.
Band 3 season ticket holders will see a massive 25% reduction meaning an adult will pay £599 while the over 65’s, Under 21’s and the disabled will pay £299.
Band 4 season ticket holders will see 23% reduction meaning an adult will pay £499 while the over 65’s, Under 21’s and the disabled will pay £250
West Ham have also announced a new VIP area on the half way line called 1966 seats, the season ticket holders for this new area will get a padded seat with their own name inscribed on it for £1,100 per season.
However, West Ham will not be publishing an Olympic Stadium seating plan of exactly where each of those seating bands are or how many seats are in each of those bands.
The seating plan will only be revealed to each season ticket holder at their individual appointment at the Stratford reservation centre.
3% reduction – underwhelmed!!

Got to get myself a seat with my name inscribed on it for sure,i dont think.Would have been nice to see the band seating plan for the OS rather than it all being secret squirrel at the individual appointment,but such is life 😉
There’s almost 19,000 more seats to fill. Not entirely surprised they felt the need to make some reductions. They need to make sure every seat is filled to justify this move. Can’t imagine what the view from the cheap seats will be like though. Can only imagine it will be the very worst a converted athletics stadium can offer. Buy some decent binoculars with the money you save.
This comes down to pure economics rather than the Dave’s doing the fans a favor.
That said, let’s not sniff at this entirely, we need to take some news with a bit of grace. At least its not an increase.
congratulations to the owners for cutting prices when everyone else is raising them.
Cutting the lower end of prices ( wherever the seats are ), is a great step forward, as is the move to the new stadium.
The position of the cheap seats will be closer to the pitch than the worst seats at Wembley, but nobody complains about the distances at Wembley.
This certainly proves all of the doubting ‘supporters’ wrong.
