Big first day rush for Carabao Cup tickets

West Ham have had a big boost in their bid to sell out the London Stadium for the fourth round Carabao Cup clash with Manchester City.

Tickets went on sale today for the game at rock bottom prices with kids being allowed in at £1 each and the highest priced tickets being £25.

We understand that around 10,000 tickets were sold for the game in the first 24 hours for the game which is being played on October 27 and has a 7.45 kick off.

It’s not clear how many season tickets holders became involved but it’s a quick fire start to the sale and it now looks likely on the basis of the sales recorded today that the stadium may well sell out..

It will be fascinating to see how seriously the manager is taking the competition as he bid for success of four fronts this season.

But regardless of that, it offers an opportunity to many who have little chance to watch the team on a regular basis of getting to a match this term.
