Big Phil thanks you all

|

PParkesClaretandHugh has this morning sent a message of goodwill from ourselves and all followers to legendary goalkeeper and all round great guy Phil Parkes.

The big fella today undergoes surgery for bowel cancer having been told by specialists that all will be well.

Typically, ever-optimistic Phil made it clear he will be ready to talk about how he is feeling and how things went tomorrow (Wed).

Speaking exclusively to ClaretandHugh he said: “I’ve been assured there is no spread of the cancer and that the surgery will deal with it once and for all.

“Please let everybody know that I am fully confident of a total recovery and thank everybody for their messages of goodwill. I’m very grateful.”

We will hope to bring you regular updates on the big fella’s progress.
